Final call for the storm

Well for you snow lovers out there, the front batch of precipitation that was projected to miss us has indeed hit us this morning and will continue to do so throughout the morning at least. There is also another blob of precipitation behind this so I don't expect the snow to end anytime soon. I'll try to do as many updates on my facebook regarding this but for now, here is my final call for the storm:

First call/discussion of tomorrow night-Thursday storm

Posted by Renato on January 26, 2011 at 12:30 AM Comments comments (0)

Well this is a really tough forecast for me to do, but I have to do it anyway.

This particular low will be east of the area, but it is what’s behind it that will mean a good snowstorm to many. Models are a little too inconsistent for me to put my faith into one particular model, but I am leaning a bit towards the 00z GFS solution (whi...

Big time storm to come next week! A big factor will be temperatures?

Posted by Renato on January 23, 2011 at 12:25 AM Comments comments (0)

Hello everyone and welcome back to another edition of the blog.

Snow Map for 1/11-1/12 storm

Posted by Renato on January 11, 2011 at 11:57 AM Comments comments (1)

Sorry I could not post my snow map last night as I went to bed much earlier than what I expected. But, looking at the weather models from last night and today, a couple of things have come in mind.

1.) Looks like the heaviest snowfall will happen around the Long Island and New England region. Someone in that area can get totals justlike our area did for the 12/26 storm. Still possible that the storm is stronger and a little further west, which could bring the heaviest precip to our area...
